Summer Favourites

Hey Guys!

I know I normally film this kind of post, but sadly I have been having real issues with my skin so haven’t been wearing make-up. I wish I could say I was confident enough to just film the video without make up and not worry, but I am not especially not at the moment, my eczema is just too bad. My skin issues doesn’t mean that I’m not doing blog posts, especially my summer favourites.
Yes, I know this post is very very late, and yes it should have been monthly, but with holidays and other life things I just didn’t have the chance to do the monthly videos, so figured one big post/video featuring all my summer favourites.

Fashion favourites
I have been loving the revival of denim skirts of late. I have been wearing mine loads since it got a little colder, with tights and a little pair of boots. I think they also look great with no tights and a sandal. I just think they are a great wardrobe staple and everyone should own one.
This is another staple that I have had for ages, but I they are still just as comfy as ever. I am a big fan of dungarees, they are easy to wear and they look good. Granted, these ones I have are getting a little tight so I could do with a new pair, but that doesn’t bother me. I will keep wearing them till they fall apart. I mean who doesn’t like to be dress like a 6 year old child?!
Crown ring
I got this from a little stall in Terminal 21 in Bangkok while I was in Thailand. I just loved how delicate and simple it was. The stall had so many really cute rings that I could have quite easily got a little over excited and bought loads.
Primark can be quite hit and miss, but recently it has just been winning at everything! I have picked up so many cute things from summer clothes for Thailand to fun pyjamas and even bed linen. Their Disney and Harry Potter collections are amazing at the moment – finger crossed it continues.
Sean’s Drake hoodie
My brother bought this when we went to see Drake in March (post here) and while I know it was summer, I get really cold really easily so wear big jumpers all year round. I love that my brother is now of the age/height that I can borrow/steal jumpers when I want to be cosy. This hoodie is so comfy and soft that if I am feeling a little crappy or want to be super cosy I just ask to borrow it and it oddly cheers me up.

Grey mules - similar
I have had these shoes for ages now but I always come back to them, they are just so comfy. I have been wearing them a lot to work because they look great with jeans and are just super easy to wear. They are getting a little scuffed and old, but I am not quite ready to part ways with them just yet.
Mule boots - similar
I will be honest, I actually forgot I owned these. I was clearing out all my shoes and found them right at the back of my wardrobe and I am very glad I did. I forgot how cute they are. They have been great for wearing this summer to work because they go with my jeans and dress. I do remember that when I bought them they weren’t that comfortable, however time has worked wonders on them because now they are super comfy!!

I got this form Brandy Melville while I was in Thailand, and it is so comfy. I am a big fan of Brandy Melville t-shirts. Yes, the whole one size fits all thing is confusing, but hey it magically seems to work out okay. I just loved the colour of this tee.
Another Brandy Melville purchase. This tee is event softer and comfier than the Malibu one, plus looks fun under my dungarees.

Beauty favourites
My normal perfume is Lady Million by Paco Rabanne, but every so often I like a change. I have liked this perfume, also by Paco Rabanne, for a while but never actually owned it. It is just such a lovely smell and feels very summery compared to my usual lady million.
I picked this up at the airport for my flights to Thailand and I am so glad I did. It now sits on my desk at work. It really does help dry lips. I like the kind of mentholness (not a word I know) of it, you can really feel it work and I like that.
I have my mother to thank for this one. She actually bought this for herself a wee while ago to try. I started using it when my skin started flaring up again because it has aloe vera in it, which is normally really good for your skin, and I have now pretty much finished it. It is really gentle on my skin and actual helps keep my skin a little softer and moisturised. I will definitely be re-ordering this.

I went nuts in Watson’s when I was in Thailand. If you are not familiar with Watson’s, it is essentially the Boots/Superdrug of Asia, and they do the most amazing sheet masks. I bought loads and still have quite a few left. I just wish that you could get them here.

Lifestyles favourites
Thailand
If you are a regular reader you will know that I went to Thailand in July with 3 friends and loved every minute of it. This was the second time I had been to the country and I just fell in love with it all over again. It was just such a great trip, I am still getting holiday blues thinking about it.

Serial podcast
I was recommended this by Paige a wee while ago and finally got round to listening to it over the summer. I have never really got into podcasts until now, and it is safe to say I loved it. If you don't know what Serial is, it is a true crime story told week by week. The woman who does it has a really lovely voice making it really easy to listen to plus its really really interesting. It has really got me into podcasts in a big way now.
New wallpaper
While I was in Thailand my lovely parents decided to surprise me and completely re-decorate my bedroom. My dad re-painted and then chose this lovely wallpaper for me and I had no idea. Yes I may be 25 and still live at home, but it does have its perks.

Liberte yoghurt
This stuff is just yummy. I have it for breakfast at work with fruit and it is just the best way to start the day. I love greek yoghurt but pretty sure these are the best!
Harry Potter
I have loved Harry Potter for 20 years now. When the first book came out my mum used to read them to me and as I got older I just read them myself. I decided to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Philosophers Stone and cause it has been forever since I read them, that I would start from the very beginning. I even got myself a whole new set of the books.
Yankee melt warmer
I love Yankee candles but having Maus means I can't really burn them in my room. I saw this on QVC and thought it was a really great idea, so decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did, I got loads of great melts with it and it is really pretty. It makes my room smell amazing and I don't need to worry about flames and the cat, cause it doesn't have any!!

I promise I will try and get back into the swing of things with these favourites. My skin is still pretty bad, so I will likely be doing written posts rather than videos for the time being.
What have you been loving recently? Let me know.
