A break from the make-up

Hey Guys!

Makeup is a beautiful thing, is makes you look pretty and hides a multitude of things, I am a big makeup lover! However, recently I have been attempting to cut back on the makeup.
Top - Forever 21 (similar here)
Dress - ASOS (similar here)
Leggings - Topshop (here)
Shoes - Vans (similar here)
Glasses - Specsavers (here)

Part of the reason for this whole no makeup thing is because I am crap in the morning, I would rather spend an extra 10 minutes in bed than put a full face on, what can I say I am a very lazy girl. I also wanted to try give my skin a break, I have really sensitive and dry skin not to mention all me eczema issues, so makeup can cause a whole load of problems if I am wearing it all day every day. I figured a little breather from the daily makeup can only be a positive thing. My final reason for this whole cutting back on makeup was to do with the fact that I am not a fan of my face without the makeup, I mean I am pale and have dark circles, and I wanted to try and change my opinion of myself. I will be honest that part is still a work in progress, I am beginning to like not wearing makeup but I’m not sure it is because I think I look good, I think it is the time saved and the fact that my skin feels nice, but I am getting there. I can appreciate that I do have quite nice skin now and I guess that is something.

I think makeup is a great thing, it allows you to feel more confident in your own skin and also who doesn’t love getting new products to try out. However this has allowed me to see that not wearing makeup is also okay and it’s actually a good idea to give your skin a break whether that is a day or a week.

What do you guys think, are you more of makeup every day kinda person or a makeup free one? Let me know.
