My Favourite Things About Winter

Hey Guys!

Hope you are good! It is definitely winter now, it has gotten so cold, and christmasy! Last year, I did a winter essentials post, so rather than repeating myself, this year I thought I'd do a post about what I love about winter, for a bit of a change. Hope you enjoy!
1. Edinburgh at Christmas:
Edinburgh is so pretty all year round, but at this time of year it just is extra pretty! It has a big Christmas market up in the Princess Street Gardens and St Andrews Square. There is a Ferris wheel, an, ice rink, loads of other rides and loads of market stalls. I love wandering round the market, an taking in the atmosphere, you can get mulled wine and warm cider from some of the stalls and sit an enjoy the whole thing, I just love it!
2. Christmas:
I mean, who doesn't love Christmas, the food; the presents; spending time with family, it is such a lovely time. My favourite thing about Christmas has to be picking the Christmas tree! I love it, I am quite fussy when it comes to Christmas tree, we have a big bay window in our house for the tree, so I like my tree to fit in the window. I pretty much take charge of the whole tree selection and decorating, and I just love the whole process, getting the decorations out and sticking Christmas songs on while we do the tree is so fun!

3. Hats, Gloves and Scarves:
I am a hat and scarf fan all year round, but at winter I love getting my cosy hats, gloves and scarves out, and wrapping myself up! I get cold quite easily, so when I can be super cosy I am one happy lady!

4. Snow:
Now, I will be honest, I'm not a huge fan of being out in the snow, I really hate being cold! However, if you are all wrapped up or in doors looking out, I love the stuff it just makes everything so pretty! It really does make you feel christmasy when you can see the snow falling outside! Another plus point of snow, is Edinburgh looks amazing covered in the stuff!
5. Rekorderlig Winter Cider:
This stuff is amazing, it's apple, cinnamon and vanilla flavoured, and when you heat it up it is amazing! It tastes like Christmas in a mug, that is the only way I can describe it, it is amazing! It is just a really lovely way to end an evening, sitting in front of the fire, watching TV with a mug of it! If you haven't tried it you really should!!

Those are just some of my winter favourites, what are your favourite things about this time of year? Let me know!
