Autumn Essentials

Hey Guys!

It is definitely autumn, which I think might be my favourite season, there are so many good things about. In the spirit of that, I thought I'd share my Autumn Essentials with you (just like I did last winter, as well as spring and summer this year.)
Fashion Essentials
Sweater Weather: This has to be one of my favourite things about autumn, the fact that it becomes sweater weather! I love sweaters and jumpers, they are one of my favourite types of clothes, if I could wear them all year round I would (sometimes I even do). They are just so easy to wear, and you can wear them so many different ways and with so many different things. They really are a vital autumn piece of clothing. These are just a wee selection of some of my MANY sweaters (I have to many to show them all).
Leather Look Skirts: I think this is a great trend for autumn, they can be really dressed up or dressed down, and look great with boots and tights as well as without. I have two, but I feel I will probably end up having lots more in all the colours that you can possibly get them in, I just love them. These skirts are both from River Island, you can get them here (black) and here (grey).
Uggs: I am an Ugg Boot fan, always have been always will be, they are just to cosy for me not to love. I am on to my second pair, and I only replaced my old ones because after 4 years they got a hole in them at. I just think they are a great shoe for autumn an winter. They keep your feet warm and they are easy to wear. I know not everyone is a fan, but I don't think I could live without them through the colder months.
Parka: Autumn, marks the return of my fur lined parka which I got last year, and wore it all autumn and all winter. I just love it, it keeps me warm, dry and I think it looks nice on too. They don't actually sell the one I own anymore (as it was bought a year ago) but if you are wanting a similar one you could try here, here or here, I think parka's are great autumn/winter coats, I love them!
Beauty Essentials
Yes To Cucumbers Moisturiser: I have really sensitive skin, and it is also really dry and the colder weather makes that dryness a lot worse. However, I have recently been using this moisturiser, and I have been loving it. It is a really nice texture when you put it on, and really does help my skin feel less sensitive and dry. I have also used the cleanser in this range and it is really good too, so can't wait to try more from this brand.
Dark Lipsticks: I love wearing darker lipsticks in autumn. I think they are a great way to change your make-up to a more autumnal look.
My favourites are these two, MAC Rebel and this Rouge Dior one in the colour Rouge Hypnotic (I can't find it online sadly).
The top swatch is the Dior one, and the bottom one is the MAC one. As you can see they are both a maroon/purple/red kind of colour. The Dior one is much darker on than the MAC but I love these colour, and I think they are great for autumn.

Carmex: The cold weather does mean that my lips get very dry, and you can't wear dark lipstick with dry lips, so I love carmex lip balm. It really works to moisturise your lips, I can't fault it.
Life Essentials:
Pumpkin Related Foods: This is a very broad area, I admit, but I love pumpkin, and you don't get it all the time, so when its around you have to make the most of it. During pumpkin season there are a few particular foods I really love. Firstly, there are Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks, which are just heaven in a mug, if you have never had one try one, but warning, they are only in stores till the end of October.
There is then just all the baking you can do with Pumpkin, last year we made a Pumpkin Bread, which was just like banana bread but better, and I can't wait to make it again. There is also Pumpkin Pie, I've never made it, but I'm willing to give it a go. I just bake as much of these things before the pumpkin goes.

New TV: Autumn officially marks a lot of new seasons of my favourite shows, in particular, the fourth season of Revenge has just started, which I am so happy about. So far there have only been a couple of episodes and I'm really enjoying it, I think it is my favourite programme on TV at the moment.
It also marks the start of the newest season of American Horror Story, this seasons theme is 'Freak Show' and although it is said to be the scariest season yet (and apparently Jessica Lange's last). It started this week, and I really enjoyed it, can't wait to find out what is going to happen throughout the season.
Halloween: I have always loved Halloween, it is just such a fun time of year. I love getting to eat all the Halloween themed sweets that are in the supermarkets, and seeing how people have dressed up. I also love getting to watch Hocus Pocus as much as you want, cause it's the right time of year for it, and that is such a great movie.
This year, me and Paige are going to a Halloween Drive-In Movie at M&D's which I am really looking forward to. We did it a few years ago, and we saw Shutter Island (which is now one of my favourite movies). It's a great experience, you sit in your car and tune the radio to a particular station and the movie sound comes through your radio while it plays on a big screen. You can take blankets and snacks and it is so fun. This year we are seeing Case 39, which is the least scary movie that is being played over the weekend (I'm not great with scary movies, I am getting better, but I get scared way to easily). I think it is going to be a lot of fun.
Again, Pumpkins, are another great thing about Halloween, carving pumpkins is so much fun!
That's all my essentials for the season. What would you guys say are your essentials? Let me know!
