Katy Perry!!

Hey Guys!

As I mentioned in my song of the week post from this week, me and Paige were at the Katy Perry concert in Glasgow on Saturday, and I thought I would share my love for Ms Perry with you!!
I have seen Katy before and as soon as we got tickets I was really looking forward to it as she puts on such a great show and I just love her!

What I Wore:
Top: Topshop
Shorts: Topshop (similar)
Blazer: New Look (similar)
Tights: Primark
Vans: Office (similar)

As always we went for dinner at Glasgow Fort as it is on the way and there are loads of options! We ended up and Prezzo, and I have to say it was lovely! I had and amazing salad with crab cakes in it and ate the whole lot. Paige had salmon pasta which she also  really enjoyed. I forget how good Prezzo is, but I honestly don't think I've ever had a bad meal there, if you have never been you should totally go! Anyway, we took our time but Ticketmaster have started sending a rough schedule of the gig, so we knew that Katy was gonna be on about 9, so we weren't worried.
The concert was at the Hydro in Glasgow (same as BeyoncĂ©) this time we were standing, and we were reminded just how huge the venue is, it didn't seem as big when we were sitting. We got there just as the support Icona Pop were starting, however we didn't actually see much of them because we got our tour t-shirts and a drink, we did see the end of I Love It, but I don't think they were on for very long, but from the sound of it they were quite good.
The tour t-shirt I picked
We made the decision quite early on that we weren't going to push forward at the concert, I get quite panicky in really big crowds, and Paige isn't a huge fan either so we always said we would stand back a bit because we knew we'd still get a great view and there would be a great atmosphere. However, when we got inside we didn't realise just how big the stage was, it was huge, we were stood right at the back and when Katy came to the very top of the stage (which was a prism, well it was the prismatic tour) we were so close! From the moment Katy came on to Roar she put on an amazing show, she had so many different outfit changes and themes, it was such just a fun show, she really makes such an effort with the whole staging of everything.
Her hair lit up, how cool!!!
The lights were really mesmerising!
My favourite section was the acoustic part when she came right down to the front of the stage near us and she played her guitar and chatted to us it was so lovely. The theme and set up was lovely, it was garden theme, she had the most stunning dress and cape, she also had fun pastel hair. During this section she did By The Grace of God, Love Me, Unconditionally and my favourite of the night, The One That Got Away, but she mashed it up with Thinking of You, I loved it. They are my two favourite Katy songs and I love it when she does them so stripped back, its just so beautiful!
The acoustic section
She really puts on such a good show, flying around on balloons and pulling someone up on stage to sing Birthday to. She closed with Firework, and it was just amazing!! I was on such a high throughout the entire concert and sang along to every song, as did everyone else in the venue!
I know she isn't to every ones taste, but I think she is brilliant, not only really talented but genuinely makes you feel included and involved throughout the 2 hours she is on stage. I would honestly say she is one of the best performers I've ever seen live just because she puts on such a good show. I would highly recommend seeing her to anyone, she is amazing!!

Have any of you guys seen Katy live? What did you think? Let me know!
